Tuesday 1900-2130 hrs

Wednesday 1900-2130 hrs

Friday 1200-1400 & 1900-2130 hrs

The range is open to guests and members alike on the days and times above. Juniors section meet on a Tuesday and seniors section meet on a Friday afternoon. All are welcome on Juniors and Seniors sessions as there are plenty of spaces to shoot.

If you want to come along and meet with like minded people, your first visit is free and after that it’s £2 per visit. This includes as much coffee/tea as you can drink, as many air fills as you require if you own a PCP and as much free advice as your ears can handle!

We have a wide range of members, from serious competitive driven shooters who travel all over the country competing in HFT and FT. Right down to ‘plinkers’ who just enjoy the social side of the club.

If you would like more information please get in touch with us via the Contacts page.  We’re a friendly bunch and don’t bite.

Membership is open to all, there is a 3 month probation period and full membership is subject to committee approval.

JGARC have a club section in AirgunScotland forum.

**New** Monday Nights on the Range

From Monday 9th November we will be opening the inside range from 7 – 9:30pm in addition to our ususal sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (afternoon and evening). For the cowboys amongst you, this is the same night as the line dancing classes.

The demand for the extra night has been brought about by a lot of cosy overcrowded Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Inside Range Hours – IMPORTANT

Club members please note that, unlike the outside range, you cannot access the indoor range outside of the hours 7 – 9:30pm Monday Tuesday, Wednesday and on Friday during the afternoon 12 – 2pm and evening 7 – 9:30pm. If you are first there and are opening the range you MUST sign the key log when picking up the range door key from the caretaker and you MUST immediately return the key to him.

Do not open the range before the start time and ensure that you are out of the range before the closing time.

We do not have full-time access to the indoor range – do not attempt to use it outside of the set hours

Moved to the Inside Range

shedBack to the inside Range

The nights are fair drawing in so we are back into the inside range for the Winter.

If any of our new or probationary members aren’t sure where the inside range is then look here or ask one of the other members.

The range rules are much the same – Rule 1 – put the kettle on!

Petition against airgun ban in Scotland

The Calman Report recommends that The Scottish Parliament should be handed control of airgun legislation in Scotland. The Scottish Parliament will undoubtedly use this power to place a ban on unlicensed airguns in Scotland. This measure harms the legitimate sporting shooter and fails to address the real problem; that caused by unlawful use of airguns. Criminal use of airguns by its nature cannot be legislated against by removing airguns from those who abide by the law.

We believe that this ban will have an adverse effect on legitimate sporting shooting, and will provide no deterrent to those who misuse airguns. The Labour Party’s own ‘Charter for Shooting’ (2005) recognises there is no connection between legitimate sporting shooting and gun crime. Airgun crime in Scotland has fallen according to the Gun Control Network’s statistics from 1005 offences 15 years ago to 567 last year.

This new legislation would erode the civil liberties of sporting shooters in Scotland and fail to remove airguns from the hands of criminals.

We therefore petition you to refuse devolved power for Airgun legislation in Scotland.
