JGARC Range rules

    J.G.A.R.C. Range Rules

 

The following rules must be obeyed by all members at all times and apply for both the indoor and outdoor ranges.

 

·         Only fully paid up members can open and sign for either of the JGARC ranges. All shooters and visitors must also sign the range register. Members are responsible for their guest/junior(s) conduct.

·         Any member caught using any JGARC range without signing for it will have their membership revoked!

·         The range register must be signed failures to do so means you’re not insured and the daily fee paid.

·         The full member signing and opening the range is responsible for the range condition and security.      

·         All range rules must be obeyed failure to do so may see your membership revoked or privileges removed.

·         The indoor range key can be signed and obtained and signed for from the caretaker.

The key must be returned immediately. 

·         Range flags (X3) must be displayed at the outdoor range (X1 on the container flag pole, X1 on the fence just over the concrete bridge and X1 to be placed over the gate directly to the rear of the 10m pistol range) and the warning light illuminated at the indoor range before firing commences.

·         All targets must be re-sprayed when finished with; targets at the outdoor range must be sprayed outside the container, paint is provided.  At the outside range targets must be counted in and out, any missing targets and equipment will be billed to the last user who signed for the range! This includes tools.

·         All rubbish must be taken away, there is a wheelie bin located outside the main door at the indoor range.

Do not leave any rubbish at any JGARC range!

·         The range must be left as it was found, do not bring targets which shatter and leave a mess (for example CD’s/DVD’s) Any Paper targets used must be removed and disposed of after use. Do not leave bags of rubbish lying in the indoor range or put metal or incombustible rubbish in the fire barrel at the outdoor range.

Do not leave any fire unattended.

·         Familiarise yourself with safe arcs of fire; Do not shoot above shoulder height, only shoot at designated targets. on 45 yd range only shoot on the left hand of the river.

Do not shoot at the backstops or range markers!

Shooting of live quarry is forbidden on any JGARC range!

·         Any damage or discrepancies must be reported and logged on the range register; failure to do so may result in the last signee being billed!

·         If you find the range in an unsatisfactory condition or damaged, report it immediately!

·         Ensure all equipment is returned when finished and that all doors / gates are left secured. Theft or loss of a key will leave the member responsible with a bill for all the lock / padlock replacements.

·         Remember this is your club; you pay for the privilege of shooting at JGARC Shoot responsibly and remember you are an ambassador of the club and the sport, leave the range as you would expect to find it.

·         If approached by a member of the public, be polite and courteous. If you feel you can’t handle the situation or think there may be problems then don’t hesitate to phone the chairman his number is on the rear of your membership card.

·         You must be in possession of your membership card when attending any JGARC range; you must also produce it if asked by any lawful person.
